Dean has been playing professional and semi-professional football for over 25 years. Dean has played for a host of clubs including Cambridge United, Lincoln City, Leyton Orient, Crystal Palace, Crewe Alexandra, Northwich Victoria, Chester City, Stevenage Borough, Kings Lynn, AFC Sudbury, Soham Town Rangers. and is currently playing for Bury Town, this is to name but a few. Dean also represented England at under 17 level and has been capped 5 times. Dean's coaching includes Head Goalkeeping Coach at Crewe Alexandra, from the 1st team down to the community programme coaching. The North West Goalkeeper development project.
